Appearance
His most notable features are his straight copper hair, long ears even for viera, and bright green eyes. Relative to other viera men, he's quite tall and thin. He probably doesn't eat enough.
History
Born in a little viera village near Leá Monde, he was fascinated with the city from an early age. He was mentored within the jungles of Golmore alongside another viera youth by the name of Aryn. Daen speaks little of his past, but he has mentioned some connection to the Bozja Incident.
Talents
Daen has had interest and training in magic for his entire life, but before coming to Eorzea was mostly limited to what his mentor knew, so he is always looking to learn more. As with most viera, he's an expert in self-sufficiency and could survive dropped in an unknown environment, and he enjoys his solitude. Daen also has a fascination with language and writing, and often writes himself, both fiction and fact, but only ever under pseudonyms. He enjoys speculating on history and myth.

The Grim Echo: If you're involved with Sindl Arahn, Darien Cadell, or the general institution of the Grim Echo Free Company, you have more than likely encountered Daen, as he was given the reins to the entire operation. You probably know him as overly laissez faire when it comes to making sure anything happens, but he also takes good care of the property and its people as he's needed, when he's needed, if he's needed. If he's not needed, he's content to sit back.
The Bozja Incident: If you were involved in the Bozja Incident, either the lead up to it or the search for answers and survivors on the outskirts, so was Daen. He was close enough to witness, lost people in the event, and still has nightmares about it.
Mist: Daen's main residence is the Grim Echo Manor in the Mist residential district outside Limsa Lominsa. In certain senses, he's confined there, so while he doesn't spend much time socializing, if you're in that area often, you may have seen him around.
Sharlayan: Daen has been spending time in Sharlayan whenever he can make it, especially in the various libraries. While he doesn't live nor attend school there, he audits courses often, mostly those on magic and history. If you spend a lot of time in Sharlayan, you may have encountered him.

Post Style: Mirror. Reflex and preference is short quick responses in most interactions but will drift comfortably into multi-para posts as suits situations or partners.
Availability: Mostly open but I tend to keep busy in-game and don't often look for RP outside of events or requests, so you won't likely find me city loitering.
Favorites: I'm a fan of quick repartée but often have difficulty with small talk and lack confidence with strangers. I will quite happily eavesdrop in silence to learn about others but I also appreciate being approached with almost any scenario.
Mature RP: I am an old, but I am wary of consent issues and prefer to approach any mature RP carefully. If that's what you're looking for, be prepared for a slow burn.
